11 branches of the Madame Tussauds museum were opened all over the world (we already described Madame Tussauds in London), the sixth museum was opened in Berlin.
The opening in the German capital took place on July 5, 2008. The exposition is located in the center of Berlin near the Brandenburg Gate. The total area occupied by the exhibits is 2500 square meters. m. and includes 9 rooms. The interior and design of the exhibition halls is very pleasant and does not distract from viewing. About a hundred wax figures are presented here. It is noteworthy that each exhibit of the museum can be touched and photographed, which is permissible by no means in every museum. The doors of the museum are open for guests every day from 10 a.m. to 19 p.m. local time.
In each room, visitors will meet with famous people: movie and stage stars, musicians, politicians, historical figures, cartoon characters, and athletes. Each figure is accompanied by a corresponding surroundings, which allows the most realistic representation of the depicted person in real life.
Of course, a special place is occupied by the figure of Hitler. A noisy story is connected with it: at the opening of the museum, one of the visitors tore off the figure's head, expressing his protest in this way. Since then, Hitler, sealed at his desk on the day of the suicide decision on April 30, 1945, sits behind a glass wall. In addition, taking pictures against the backdrop of this figure is prohibited - a tribute to the victims of the Second World War. Such restrictions apply only to this exhibit.
What celebrities live in the walls of the Tussauds Berlin house? Among the most famous historical figures are: Otto von Bismarck, Erich Honecker, Winston Churchill, Karl Marx, John F. Kennedy, Albert Einstein and Ludwig Van Beethoven.
Here you can also see the figure of Pope Benedict XVI - the first Pope of German descent, Berlin Mayor Klaus Wowereit, the current German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
The world of show business is represented by the legendary Four Beatles, Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Madonna, Bionse, Nicole Kidman, George Clooney, Johnny Depp, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pete, Justin Timberlake, Robbie Williams, Marlene Dietrich, Lisa Minelli, Romy Schneider, Marilyn Monroe and others. Near the last figure, by the way, you can try on the famous dress of the actress and try to fit into her image by taking a photo as a keepsake.
In the sports hall, the figures of tennis player Boris Becker and football goalkeeper Oliver Kahn attract attention. Cartoon Shrek and the comic book hero Spider-Man are never ignored.
All the figures of the exposition are incredibly realistic. It seems that these are really real people who just froze for a moment. Therefore, visiting the museum will bring a lot of pleasant impressions from meeting with famous people and idols of millions. A whole team of people painstakingly works on the creation of one figure, striving to achieve the maximum resemblance to a real person. You can appreciate the incredible work of the creators of figures and artists, only seeing them with your own eyes.
