Bathing - Boris Mikhailovich Kustodiev. 35x40

In Kustodievsky, a sunny day in the picture is full of saturated colors. The blue sky, the green slope, the specular sheen of water, the sunny yellow bath - all together make up a warm summer.

Bathers are prescribed by the artist schematically, very delicately. Kustodiev as if he himself diverts the viewer's eyes from the bathhouse and draws attention to the surrounding nature, filling it with unnatural bright colors.

On the shore there is an ordinary life. Boaters offer the public a ride on the river, a loaded cart rises uphill with difficulty. On the hillock is the red church.

Twice the artist depicted the Russian tricolor. A white-blue-red banner adorns the pool and the side of a large boat. Most likely, before us is a holiday. Summer is a holiday for all who are able to appreciate it.

Bathers are having a leisurely conversation, enjoying the warmth, the sun, the river. Slow, measured, happy life.
