Astrid Lindgren Museum (Unibaken), Sweden, Stockholm

One of the most famous museums in Stockholm is Unibaken. The heroes of the books of the great Astrid Lindgren, their houses, bedrooms, kitchens, places for games - there is everything here.

Visitors are greeted by the area of fairy tales, where Mummy Trolls, old Petson and the cat Findus live in their houses.

You can go on to a fairy tale on a small train (however, you can also walk, but the train is more interesting for children, moreover, the trip is accompanied by comments from an audio guide who speaks many languages).

The trip includes visits to the house of Karlsson, Emil's farm, a paradise country where brave knights fight dragons. Tales come to life before the eyes of visitors and follow on the heels until the end of the visit.

After the trip - a favorite pastime for young visitors - a visit to the Chicken Villa in the house of Peppy Longstocking. Here is such expanse so expanse! Peppy riding downhill and ponies, trying on the most unimaginable outfits, pranks in the kitchen, lots of games and entertainment.

The children's playground of the institution is large and unusual. It is difficult to tear children from a pirate ship with full equipment, numerous slides.

The museum restaurant is a special place. Here the fairy tale does not end, but continues: an unusual menu and decoration of dishes, services for warming up baby food (there are many young children among museum visitors), a wonderful view of the old city and the bay. In the evening, after the museum closes, banquets and celebrations for adults who yearn for their childhood are held here.

As a real museum, Unibaken offers its visitors a delightful exhibition of drawings for the tales and stories of Lindgren. Various temporary exhibitions are constantly held.

Not so long ago, the museum expanded - the scrap scrap exhibition appeared, dedicated to the work of Jan Lef, a famous writer and musician.

Unibaken - It is also a huge children's scene, put at the disposal of young talents, which constantly hosts a variety of performances.

In addition, here every day there are workshops of skillful hands, then makeup classes, then lessons for artists.

Even the smallest visitors (up to two years old) can take part in an unusual event - twice a week, half an hour before the museum opens for them a special fairy-tale exercise takes place.

In the Unibaken store there is an opportunity to purchase books by many children's authors in an excellent edition.

Entrance ticket costs 145 kroons (children 125 CZK). Visitors under two years old - free of charge.

The museum is closed on Mondays and Christmas. The rest of the time it is open for visits, which will be unforgettable!
